1. Educational Context and Not Medical Advice
The IR Table Book is an independent educational publishing project focused on visual recognition and orientation. Its website, digital library, and future physical book are educational information, not medical advice, clinical instruction, or a substitute for professional judgment. They do not replace institutional policy or a manufacturer's instructions for use.
2. No Paid Book Orders Currently Accepted
We are not accepting paid orders, preorders, or deposits for the physical book. The planned 2028 release, Founding price, regular price, and future shipping terms are planning information, not an offer of sale. They may change before paid orders open. Paid orders will open only after printing and fulfillment are contracted and a specific, defensible ship-by date can be stated.
3. Voluntary Support Contributions
One-time and monthly contributions are voluntary and not tax-deductible. They provide no goods or services and do not purchase or reserve a book. Funds support hosting, educational content development, image licensing, and production planning.
One-time contributions are generally final except in cases of a duplicate or unauthorized charge, a payment error, where a refund is required by law, or at our reasonable discretion. Contact support@irtablebook.com if you believe one of these circumstances applies.
4. Monthly Support Cancellation
Monthly support renews each month until canceled. You may cancel anytime using Stripe's subscription-management option or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not provide prorated refunds for a partial paid period except where required by law.
5. Future Book Sales and Remedies
All fulfilled book sales are final except where cancellation or refund is required by law.
If a future promised ship date cannot be met, customers will receive the legally required delay-consent option or the option to cancel for a full refund, including shipping where applicable. A book that is damaged in shipment or confirmed lost will receive a replacement or another legally appropriate remedy.
6. U.S.-Only Shipping Plans
Future fulfillment is planned for U.S. addresses only. The planned $9.95 flat shipping charge per order is not yet an offer of sale and may be updated before orders open.
7. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use
Original text, editorial frameworks, organization, and visual treatments are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, marks, and images remain the property of their respective rights holders. You may use the site for lawful personal educational study. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or systematically copy, republish, or commercially exploit its content without permission or another lawful basis.
8. Limitations of Liability
The site and its educational content are provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, the project and its contributors are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the site. For a contribution or future transaction, aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for that contribution or transaction. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms as the project, Store, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. For policy questions, contribution issues, or monthly-support assistance, contact support@irtablebook.com.
