What am I looking at?
Fluid-filled pressure tubing connected to a disposable transducer, stopcocks, flush system, and monitor.
What does it do, and where will I see it?
Converts fluid pressure within a catheter or vascular line into a continuously displayed waveform and numeric pressure measurement. It is used during portal, venous, arterial, and other hemodynamic assessments, including TIPS workflows.
What most clearly distinguishes it from similar devices?
The transducer is the measuring component and must be leveled and zeroed correctly; the pressure infusion bag only maintains the continuous flush and does not itself generate the pressure reading.
